Welcome to SuoniOrchestral

There is wonderful old Chinese proverb that someone dear to me use to say..... " A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving"

You set out to travel to Rome...and end up in Istanbul.  You set off for Japan...and you end up on a train across Siberia.  I guess the journey, not the destination becomes a source of wonder.  That's what I took from that proverb.

I think about my personal approach to musical projects much like a travel writer might approach the preparation for a book.  You latch on to a certain theme or event and follow that into the unknown, while at the same time, expanding on those themes.

If there is a recurrent thread that runs through my music it is one of yearning toward love, liberty and integration into New Age Music.

To be a catalyst is one of my life's objectives.  I've been inspired by many people who in turn have been catalysts.

One of the most wonderful and engaging things I've learned is that we are all the culmination and extension of each other's histories and there is more that binds us together than separates us, and discovering this, perhaps our needs are timeless and universal  We really are connected by an invisible thread and and I have learned it is better to participate in the world than to become detached from the world.

I remember as a kid, taking a train from DC to NY every weekend.  I use to write in a journal and I remember taking the train once unaccompanied by my mother and writing "Traveling alone on this train, it is strange having been told not to have a conversation with anyone, but I learned that so much can be conveyed through actions, body language and a look into someones eyes even for a brief moment.....

I had thoughts as to how everyone shared the human condition and wondered if people's lives on that train are really what others might imagine....   many of my musical concepts came to me on those train rides alone in my childhood and remain with me still.  I think my relationship to composition began at that time.... every face had a story and every image was a song.

The music on my site changes frequently, so it is my desire that you return and engage with my music and ultimately with me.
